WHAT WOULD I DO IF MY DREAMS WERE POSSIBLE? HOW WOULD I ACT IF I COULD NOT FAIL?

What would you do if your dreams were possible?

How would you act if you could not fail?

The first question helps me focus on what I want.

The second question tells me what I need to do to make it happen.

Every time I ask myself these questions, I end up living my dreams.

If it worked for me, it will also work for you. If you are fired up and ready to go for a new life, answer these two questions, and do it now.

What would I do if my medical dreams were possible?

I would go to medical school and become an eye surgeon.

How would I act if I could not fail?

I would do four years of college, four years of medical school, one year of internship, three years of eye surgery residency, and one year of retinal fellowship. I would get a job in international medicine and make a difference in the lives of people in the developing world. That's what I would do if my medical dreams were possible.

What would I do if my sailing dreams were possible?

I would sail around the world on my own sailboat with my family.

How would I act if I could not fail?

First I would learn how to sail. I would start out with a twenty-two foot sailboat and work my way up to a thirty-nine foot catamaran. I would learn how to do celestial navigation so I could nagivate by the sun and the stars. I would get a ham radio license so I could communicate with other people even when I am in the middle of the ocean. I would work for eleven years in Saudi Arabia to save enough Freedom Chips to finance the sailing voyage. I would enroll my children in home schooling so they could complete their high school studies while sailing around the world. I would learn storm managment so that my family would be safe during storms at sea. That's what I would do if my sailing dreams were possible.

What would I do if my Land Rover dreams were possible?

I would drive an expeditionary outfitted Land Rover Defender around the world.

How would I act if I could not fail?

I would purchase a Land Rover Defender and learn how prepare it for a driving trip around the world. I would learn how to install a winch, upgrade the suspension, install a swing away tire carrier, and install a full length Brownchurch expeditionary roof rack. I would get two spare tires and mount one of them on the hood of the vehicle. I would make week long trips into the Empty Quarter of Saudi Arabia where I would learn how to drive off road in the giant sand dunes of the Arabian desert. I would preplace Land Rover Defenders in New Zealand, Australia, and North America in preparation for my adventure. I would purchase the spare parts needed for the trip. Finally, I would start driving and keep driving until I had driven all the way around planet earth. That is what I would do if my Land Rover Dreams were possible.

What would I do if my writing dreams were possible?

I would write books on Positive Thinking, Positive Spirituality, Positive Self-Talk, and Depression.

How would I act if I could not fail?

I would write the "Owner's Manual for Your Mind" to show people how to run their mind and how to make a life. I would write "Programmer's Manual for Your Mind" to show people how to reprogram their mind with a positive operating system. I would write "Maximum Strength Positive Thinking" to teach people what to say when they talk to their mind, and what to say when their mind talks to them. I would write "Zero Tolerance to Negative Thinking" to show people how to win the battle against depression. I would write "Real Power: Maxing Out on Gods Love" to show people what it means to max out on God's love. I would give them swimming lessons in God's ocean of love. That's what I would do if my writing dreams were possible.

What would I do if my Positive Thinking Network dreams were possible?

I would establish the Positive Thinking Network and make it the definitive source for positive thinking and positive spirituality on the world wide web.

How would I act if I could not fail?

I would purchase hundreds of positive domains to create the superstructure of the Positive Thinking Network. I would create websites full of positive content so people from one hundred ninety-six countries could learn more about positive thinking and positive spirituality. I would learn how to write code to create the websites found in the Positive Thinking Network. I would upload more than two hundred positive podcasts that people could listen to free of charge. That's what I would do if my Positive Thinking Network dreams were possible

What would I do if my Flying Doctor dreams were possible?

I would take a job with the Indian Health Service as a Flying Doctor.

How would I act if I could not fail?

I would get up at five oclock in the morning to go to the airport and fly out to the Indian Reservations in Arizona in Beechcraft Barons and King Air 200 aircraft.

By now, you should be getting the picture.

Living as if your dreams are possible and acting as if you cannot fail is not a mystery. There are no secrets hidden from the eyes of the masses.

It's simply getting up every day and doing those things you need to do to make it all happen. There is no rocket science here. It's mostly tons of desire and megatons of hard work.

It's getting up when you don't want to get up, and flying when the weather is not as good as you would like.

It's long days and short nights that make dreams come true.

Living your dreams isn't easy, but it's a world better than surrendering your dreams or watching them slowly die from neglect.

Anyone can live as if their dreams are possible and act as if they cannot fail.

All they have to do is Do It Now.

Exit Only

See what it's like for a family to sail around the world on a small catamaran

Captain Save Our Souls

Awesome music video that captures the essence of what it's like to sail offshore in a catamaran around the world when conditions are less than perfect. David Abbott from Too Many Drummers sings the vocals, and he also edited the footage from our Red Sea adventures. This is the theme song from the Red Sea Chronicles.

Red Sea Blues

Sailing up the Red Sea is not for the faint of heart. From the Bab al Mandeb to the Suez Canal, adventures and adversity are in abundance. If you take things too seriously, you just might get the Red Sea Blues.

Red Sea Chronicles Episode 1 - When Flying Fish Attack

Flying fish assault Exit Only in the middle of the night as we sail through the Arabian Gulf from the Maldives to Oman. And so begins our Red Sea adventures.

Red Sea Chronicles Episode 2 - Pirate Alley

Sailing through Pirate Alley between Yemen and Somalia involves calculated risk. It may not be Russian Roulette, but it is a bit of a worry. Follow Team Maxing Out as they navigate through Pirate Alley.

Red Sea Chronicles Episode 3 - Aden, Yemen

Stopping in Yemen was just what the doctor ordered. We refueled, repaired our alternator, and we made friends with our gracious Yemeni hosts. We also went to Baskins Robbins as a reward for surviving Pirate Alley.

Red Sea Chronicles Episode 4- Gate of Sorrows and Sandstorms

After you survive Pirate Alley, you must sail through the Gate of Sorrows (Bab Al Mandab) at the southern entrance to the Red Sea. The Gate of Sorrows lived up to its name with fifty knots of wind and a sandstorm that pummeled Exit Only for two days. Life is good.

Patreon - Maxing Out

Captain Dave and his family spent eleven years sailing around the world on their Privilege 39 catamaran, Exit Only. During the trip, the crew shot 200 hours of video with professional cameras to show people what it's like to sail on a small boat around the world.

The Red Sea Chronicles is a one hour and twenty-two minute feature film showing their adventures as Exit Only sails through Pirate Alley in the Gulf of Aden and up the Red Sea. The professional footage documents their experiences in Oman, Yemen, Eritrea, Sudan, Egypt, and the Suez Canal. It chronicles the rigors of traveling in a remote section of the world rarely visited by cruisers. Exit Only dodges Yemeni pirates, fights a gale and sand storms in the Bab al Mandeb at the southern entrance to the Red Sea. The crew explores deserted islands on the western shores of the Red Sea, and learns to check the cruising guides for land mines before venturing ashore.

The Red Sea Chronicles also has outstanding Special Features including an Instructional Video on Storm Management that tells sailors how to deal with storms at sea.

And don't forget the two Music Videos: "The Red Sea Blues", and "Captain - Save Our Souls".

The Red Sea Chronicles is a first class adventure that stokes the sailing dreams of both experienced and wannabe sailors alike.
